#9 Taking Things Lightly: Not taking serious matters seriously or dismissing emotions.

Guys very often use humor as a way to disarm tension and a way to be playful, because do you really want us to be a hundred percent dialed in?

If we deem something a threat, we will go into M.A.M. - Massive Action Mode and eliminate the threat.

Taking things lightly, masculine does have a habit of deflecting tension or dismissing tension, taking things down a notch because do you really want us in a life-or-death, fight-or-flight energy state dealing with things around the house?

Do you want us to be on that edge where it feels like everything is life and death because we're gonna show up at that level of intensity and it's gonna be overpowering or overwhelming.

So yeah, we're gonna deflect or dismiss, and this is where you go, “Hey, I understand you're softening the tension here, but this really matters to me. This is really important. I need you to be serious with me on this.”

Like, you can ask for him to step up and step in.

But again, you've gotta guide that because his filters and your filters are different.

Not right or wrong, not better or worse, just different.

Also, if he’s more Knight than Prince or King, he’s going to default more to adventure, and fun, and being funny and not realize the full measure of the moment he’s in with you.
